24-hour waiting at the cities of India, cremation of more than 900 dead bodies in 21 days

In Bihar, the havoc of Corona is increasing so much that waiting is also going on at Mokshdham. The situation is that one has to wait for cremation for 20 to 24 hours. In such a situation, the dam of family members is being broken. After waiting for the beds in the hospital, they have to wait hungry and thirsty at the crematorium.

Actually, the cremation ghats system has collapsed due to increase in the number of dead bodies. The death toll from the corona has doubled this time compared to last year. There are 65 to 70 dead bodies arriving at Bamboo Ghat everyday. At the same time, when the corona infection was at its peak last year, on an average 20 to 25 dead bodies were burnt. This time this figure has been more than three and a half times now. In the last three weeks, more than 900 infected bodies of Kovid have been burnt at the Bamboo Ghat. The bodies burnt here are also from other districts including Patna district, who died in hospitals in Patna.

Bamboo ghats have the largest number of kovid carcasses being burnt. Infected bodies are arriving here for 24 hours. Between 19 and 20 infected bodies have been kept in a row. The old queue is not over yet that a new queue is starting. 65 to 70 bodies have been arriving here for the last five days. Because of which someone has to wait 17 hours to burn the dead body, and someone has to wait more than 20 hours.

Waiting for cremation

In the midst of Corona's growing infection, family members are also waiting to be cremated. At the crematorium, the family are waiting in line to place their dead bodies. However, people are relieved due to the commissioning of electric crematorium at Khajekala Ghat of Patna Municipal Corporation's City and Azimabad zone. At present, there is not much time to spend for the last rites of the dead body.

The Chief Cleaning Inspector informed that till three o'clock in the afternoon, eight bodies have been burnt. Five bodies are yet to be burnt. At the same time, EO Rakesh Kumar Singh said that there is no back-and-forth affair between the family members regarding the burning of the dead body, eight outposts have been made available by the corporation in the premises of the electric crematorium. On which the corpse is placed by number. The bodies were cremated until three o'clock late at night on Saturday.

Bamboo ghat workers also infected

Workers working to burn the corpse in the burial grounds at Bamboo Ghat have also started getting infected. There is an atmosphere of fear among the additional laborers who were given. The laborers employed here are also leaving their jobs and running away. Despite this, the Municipal Corporation is trying its best to ensure that there are no queues of dead bodies. Those who are infected or who are ill, are being treated.

If additional personnel are not employed then there will be a lot of trouble. The ward councilor here has demanded from the city commissioner that an administrative officer should be posted to improve the arrangements at Bamboo Ghat and not to disturb the family members.
